Patient Highlights

February Patients of the MonthπŸ˜„

We’re proud to celebrate our Patient of the Month for his incredible dedication and progress! When Daniel first came to us, he was struggling with persistent low back pain that was limiting his daily activities and overall quality of life. From day one, he committed fully to his treatment plan. He showed up consistently, working hard during every visit, and stayed disciplined with his exercises at home. His positive attitude and determination have led to significant improvements in strength, mobility, and pain reduction. Daniel's journey is a true testament to what commitment and teamwork can achieve, and we’re excited to see his continued success! πŸ™Œ

Nancy has been through it all and then some ! A β€œsimple” twist of her knee in August last year resulted in a meniscus tear.  A β€œsimple” knee arthroscopy to clean it up did not work. She she decided on a total knee replacement.  That sadly resulted in an infection in the replacement. The doctors had to take the replacement parts out and put in a temporary knee with lots of antibiotics to clear out the bacteria right around Thanksgiving. This week Nancy had blood work an MRI and more scans to determine if the bacteria in the bone has gone so that she can finally get the knee replacement. Through it all Nancy has had ups and down. She has stayed strong and determined mentally and physically through all the setbacks over the past 5 months.  she has work hard to be able to stand, to walk,, to get out of a bed and a chair, and 2 weeks ago she was able to get around on the bike so she can be ready to get the new knee.  She will hopefully have  knee replacement surgery in March.  We are all so proud of her grit and perseverance. We can’t wait to see her get back to riding her bike , swimming and enjoying being active this summer.  Hang in there - you got this! πŸŽ€

CUPPING:

It's like a hug for your muscles... just with a little extra suction! πŸ˜„

Cupping is a therapeutic technique used in physical therapy to help reduce pain, improve mobility, and promote healing. During treatment, specialized cups are placed on the skin to create gentle suction, which lifts the underlying tissues. This decompression effect helps increase blood flow, decrease muscle tension, and improve fascial mobility. In PT, cupping is often used to address tight muscles, scar tissue restrictions, and areas of chronic inflammation. When combined with movement and exercise, cupping can be a helpful tool to support recovery and enhance overall function.
