Tamer (left) is in his Junior year at Montclair State University. He is interested in going to PT school to one day work as a licensed physical therapist in an office like ours. Sharif (right) is in his last year at Passaic County Tech high school. He is excited for his college journey to begin and is committing to Rutgers Newark to major in Biology. They are both looking forward to helping our patients here at Forward Motion! |

Walter is a great example of resilience and dedication. After undergoing two toal knee replacements within the past two years, he came into therapy focused on getting his life back, to improve his mobility, reduce pain, and return to everday activities without limitations. Walter shows up to every session determined to push himself, all while keeping things lighthearted and fun. His positive attitude and strong work ethic make him a pleasure to work with and an inspiration to those around him. We're proud of the progress he's made and look forward to seeing him continue to reach his goals. ๐ |

Martin has been recognized as our patient of the month for this month. After enduring years of discomfort from sitting, standing, and ascending stairs, he underwent a right total knee replacement. Martin has demonstrated remarkable commitment to his home exercise regimen and care plan. He is now able to actively participate in volunteer work at the fire department, engage in extended walks without experiencing pain, and enjoy quality time fishing with his grandson. ๐ช |

Torticollis (Wryneck) Syndrome
Even babies get PT! Torticollis is a common condition in babies that is characterized by a twisted and/or titled neck, often caused by tightened or spasming neck muscles. This can lead to plagiocephaly or misshapen head. The head tilt to one side is a key symptom, along with difficulty turning the head/neck, difficulty with feeding, and intolerance to tummy time. In the video below, Evan is demonstrating some possible treatments to address directional preference, impaired cervical muscle strength and motor control. Check it out๐
